I Helped with the Sunk Robotics website re-make this week. I provided an image of BOB ROV along with design advise. Ibrahim had a ton of terrible ideas. I worked with Miles to veto those dumb ideas. Ibrahim had one good idea, converting my technical documentation into bullet points for JONA’s page.
I Started to create documentation for BOB ROV. In the midst of making this documentation I realized that I requested a quote for the existing O-Ring for the face seal O-Ring. I still haven’t been replied to, so I had to find an off the shelf O-Ring to replace it.

This week I realized that I would need to trippan several grooves on the end caps. So I looked for a tool to do that. I found one that Aaron had ground, so I started to practice trippaning. There was tons of chatter and it sounded like a dying hyena. So I stopped.
I was also practicing aligning a part with the 4 jaw chuck. I got a part aligned to 5 ten thousandths of an inch. I realized that the square bar in the drill trick also works for the 4 jaw chuck.
On Thursday Mr. L told me that the belt sander was being weird so I came to check on it. The belt was under too much tension, so it was bowing out on the edges. I didn’t think that I could adjust the tension, so there was nothing I could do about it.
The lock nuts on the adjustment knobs for the belt alignment were loose so I had to re-align them and lock the nuts in place.
